The Chesapeake Celtic Festival takes place on the wooded grounds of the Furnace Town Living History Museum. The bagpipe parade winds through the site of a nineteenth century industrial village. Stroll the Celtic Marketplace among the trees and watch strolling performers. Visit with artisans in the weaving house, print shop and other buildings. Enjoy music throughout the grounds and watch dancers and other performances on the outdoor main stage from informal hillside seating (bring a chair or ground cover).
This year I attended for my second year. Good music and food and we particularly enjoyed the Highlander Games. My only complaint was that I had to wait until 11 to buy a beer!
