Pets on wheels Delmarva is a group of volunteer teams (pet and handler) who visit nursing homes, assisted living homes, homes for the handicapped and other facilities. The friendly visits are always welcomed by both the residents and their care givers. Pet volunteers have an instinctive way of giving comfort and joy to folks which often exceeds human contact. On some days, a visit from a Pets On Wheels volunteer team may be the only contact from the outside world for a resident.
