I’d try the Shannahan Brown House. This late Victorian residence is located in the heart of historic Easton, and takes one back to a bygone era. The house has recently come alive, as the owner has furnished the house with many period pieces and items collected while living in the Far East. Guests remark that they enjoy the ambience of staying in a well loved home, rather than in a vacation rental or an inn. Give them a look-see at http://shannahanbrownhouse.com/

In the early to mid-1850’s, Queenstown was a stop for many steamboats, which would bring goods to the town and carry passengers up and down the Chester River and to Baltimore. Today, agriculture and seafood harvesting are the dominant economic factors in the area. Retail shopping outlets, located in Queenstown, and the Queenstown Harbor Golf Links, adjacent to the Town, are thriving and bring many visitors to the Town. It also had the distinction of being the first and only town in Queen Anne’s County to be attacked by the British during the War of 1812.
Located approximately 15 miles northeast of Cambridge, with State Highway Routes 14 and 16 intersecting the town, East New Market has long been known as the “cross roads”. It is a nice town to visit just to see the fine examples of pre-revolutionary homes such as Buckland or the Daffin Mitchell house. Visit the town’s website.
